After Jitin Another Brahmin Face Walks Away From Congress
While a pitiable Congress in the state is going all out to woo the upper caste votes mainly Brahmins yet another Brahmin leader belonging to a very prominent family having decades old ties with Congress has called it a day resigning from all the posts of the party along with primary membership. Lalitesh Pati Tripathi, former MLA and great-grand son of Congress stalwart and former CM Kamlapati Tripathi formally deserted Congress on Thursday.

Setting all the speculations at rest at his Aurngabad House in Varanasi on Thursday Laliteshpati Tripathi who was also holding the post of state vice president of Congress announced that his days with Congress were over. ” I have no personal grudge against anyone but I can not see the humiliation of hard working and devoted party workers any more. Hence I sever all ties with Congress with immediate effect” said former MLA from Madihan seat in Mirzapur district.

It may be recalled that only recently Former union minister and a prominent Brahmin face in Congress Jitin Prasad had also deserted party and joined BJP.
Lalitespati Tripathi is the son of Rajeshpati Tripathi who was former MLC and Treasurer of UPCC. Lalitesh’s grand father Lokpati Tripathi was also a cabinet minister in state government for many years. His great grand father Kamlapati Tripathi was working president of AICC besides being Railway minister and CM of Uttar Pradesh.
