India Ran Successful Testing of Pinaka Rocket System

India today successfully test-fired the Pinaka Extended Multiple Launch Rocket System (PinakaER) in the Pokhran Range, the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) said. The system, which is an upgraded version of the previous Pinaka rocket, was designed by DRDO, the Pune-based High Energy Materials Research and Development Facility laboratory.

“During the past three days, DRDO has conducted a series of tests in cooperation with the military to evaluate the performance of commercially produced missiles on the field,” the statement said. Department of Defense”.

In addition, a locally developed “close-range missile” for the Pinaka missile was also tested, the defense ministry said. The Pinaka multiple rocket launcher, used by the Indian military for more than a decade, will now have improved range, DRDO said.

Although the range is unknown, the Pinaka MKI missile system has a range of about 40 km while the Pinaka II variant can hit targets at a distance of 60 km. In June of this year, DRDO tested 25 improved range versions of the Pinaka missile. This is done in fast sequential mode as part of a saturation attack simulation. Two different variants were also tested simultaneously by DRDO from the Pokhran range in December of this year. These two trials were conclusive.
