New Delhi: The Union Home Ministry has extended the lockdown implemented for two weeks after May 3 to prevent infection of the corona virus. The Home Ministry on Friday issued an order under the Disaster Management Act 2005, and decided to extend the lockdown by two weeks. The Ministry of Home Affairs said that the decision was taken after extensive review of the situation on Covid-19.
The Ministry of Home Affairs stated, “Some activities will be closed in all zones across India, including interstate traffic by air, rail, metro and road, including the operation of schools, colleges, and other educational and training / coaching institutions.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, in addition to prohibited activities in the Red Zone and Containment Zone all over India, some activities will be banned. These are cycle rickshaws and auto rickshaws, taxis and taxi aggregators, intra-district and inter district buses, barber shops and spas and salons.
The Interior Ministry stated, “Inter-district movement of persons and vehicles in the Orange Zone will only be allowed for certain activities. The four-wheelers will carry a maximum of 2 passengers in addition to the driver. In addition, the taxi and cab aggregators in the Orange Zone carry one car. Only 1 driver and 1 passenger will be allowed. “
