Farmers showed strength in the Mahapanchayat of Muzaffarnagar

Muzaffarnagar: A huge crowd of farmers gathered in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh on behalf of Naresh Tikait, leader of the Bhartiya Kisan Union,. The mahapanchayat took place about 150 km from the Ghazipur border adjoining Delhi where Naresh Tikait’s brother Rakesh Tikait is leading the farmers’ protest against agricultural laws. The Mahapanchayat was convened on Thursday after that incident when U.P. The atmosphere became tense due to the administration’s attempt to free the Ghazipur area from the agitating farmers.

A large number of police force and machinery had given rise to the speculation that farmers’ demonstrations would be demolished. On Thursday, the electricity and water supply of the protest was cut off, although it was later restored. When the farmers were being forced away, the farmer leader Rakesh Tikait was seen crying with a camera. He announced that he would not leave the protest site until the final decision on agricultural laws was made.

He said, ‘They want to destroy the farmers, we will not let this happen. Either agricultural laws will be withdrawn or Tikait will kill itself. This is a conspiracy against the farmers. This video clip went viral and as a result a large number of farmers returned to Ghazipur and got involved with the demonstration. A senior UP police officer Prashant Kumar said that the UP police had no intention of evacuating the Ghazipur area to the protesters. He said, ‘On Wednesday night, the police did not go to evacuate the area but to ensure that anti-social elements do not intrude into the demonstration, but some people distorted the development. ‘
