Don’t misled the country on MSP, Tikait’s reply on PM Modi’s statement in Rajya Sabha

New Delhi: In the Rajya Sabha today, Prime Minister Modi appealed to the farmers to end the movement. In which PM said that MSP was, is and will remain. The government is ready to talk to the farmers. Indian Farmers Union leader Rakesh Tikait said of Modi’s appeal that we are ready for discussion, but legislation should be made on MSP.

Rakesh Tikait also made a tweet commenting on the PM’s appeal, in which he wrote that “the MSP is neither there nor there will be no more than two states, do not mislead the country.”

Apart from this, he said in a statement today that there should be no trade on hunger. Those who do so will be thrown out. Legislation should be enacted on MSP by withdrawing these bills. The government wants to make 15 amendments, first remove them and then further talk will be done. Rakesh further said that Prime Minister Modi should appeal that all MPs give up their pension.

Regarding the farmers movement, Prime Minister Modi said that everyone is talking about the farmers movement, but no one in the house has told why the farmers movement is happening. The basics of the movement should be discussed. He said that 86 per cent of the farmers own less than 2 hectares of land. Earlier small farmers did not get the benefit of loan waiver.
