New Delhi: Chinese soldiers posted in the Eastern Ladakh sector have been badly affected due to extreme cold. In view of this, the People’s Liberation Army has replaced 90 percent of its soldiers. After sending them back, other soldiers have been posted here. In April-May last year, China has deployed more than 50 thousand soldiers in eastern Ladakh. The Indian Armed Forces are also fully alert this year despite the Corona epidemic and are keeping a close watch on all these activities of the Chinese Army.
It is being told that China has replaced the soldiers deployed in the last one year. Now new soldiers have been brought in for this. The reason for this rotation can be extreme cold and other related problems in high latitude areas. It is believed that due to the cold here, the Chinese soldiers have been badly affected. Even during deployment at the Friction Point in the Pangong Lake area, Chinese troops were being replaced on high-altitude posts on an almost daily basis and their movement became very restricted.

The Indian Army deploys its troops in high-altitude areas for a two-year tenure and around 40-50 percent of troops get rotated every year. The tenures of ITBP soldiers in these conditions are sometimes much longer than two years. India and China have been deployed against each other in a big way in eastern Ladakh and other areas along the Line of Actual Control since the April-May timeframe last year and have indulged in several face-offs caused by the Chinese aggression there.
