Agra: In a tragic accident on the Agra-Lucknow expressway, Five people travelling onba car were burnt alive when their vehucle turned into a ball of fire after hitting a truck on esrky Tuesday morning.
Police said the accident occured in Khandauli area when the car going towards Lucknow hit a stationary truck due to dense fog.
After hitting the truck , the car , with registration number of Lucknow caught fire and all the five occupants, from Unnao, were charred to death.
Senior Superintendent of Police Bablu Kumar gave this information here after returning from the scene of the incident. He said that at around 4.30 am this morning, near the toll on the Yamuna Expressway in Khandauli area, the car going towards Delhi and over collided with the diesel tank of the container going ahead in the second line and caught fire. The fire was so severe that all the five occupants of the car died due to burns. He said that the container also caught fire but there were no casualties.
He said that on the basis of the identity card of the two people, the deceased are said to be car driver Sandeep, resident of Alambagh and Murli Manohar, resident of Auras area of Unnao. Police is trying to identify others.
Meanwhile, chief minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his grief over the accident and death of five people .
The CM has asked the aythorities to provide all assistance to the bereaved families .
