10 people died after drinking poisonous liquor in Madhya Pradesh

Morena: Ten people died and more than half a dozen people are undergoing treatment in the Morena district of Madhya Pradesh this morning due to the consumption of poisonous alcohol.

Confirming the deaths, District Collector Anurag Verma said today that ten people have died in village Chhera Manpur of Bagchini police station area and Pahavali and Bilaiyapura villages of Sumavali police station area. Some of them died in Morena and some in Gwalior District Hospital from last night till today morning. He said that it is not yet clear whether the death occurred due to consumption of poisonous liquor or for some other reason. He told that only after the post mortem report of the dead, the reasons of death will be revealed.

Collector Shri Verma informed that a case is being registered in this case. Strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty in the case.
