Mumbai: The Mumbai High Court today rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Raj Kundra Who was arrested last month. Court rejected the bail saying there is nothing wrong with the magistrate court order which was challenged by Shilpa Shetty . The businessman, who is under judicial custody for allegedly producing pornography content, had moved the plea on 11 June 2021, following which it was taken up for initial hearing on 2 August 2021. According to the complaint filed with the Mumbai police, Raj Kundra and his associate, Ryan Thorpe were involved in the production and distribution of objectionable videos, which were uploaded on the app “Hotshots”. The case was registered by the Mumbai police on 11 June 2020, based on a complaint filed by Sherlyn Chopra.
The app has allegedly been sold to Kenrin Pvt Ltd, a London-based company, which according to Mumbai Police officials is run by Raj Kundra’s brother-in-law. Those using the app were charged a certain subscription fee which snowballed into earnings worth ₹1.17 crore during August-December 2020.

The model-cum-actress was summoned for questioning by the Mumbai Crime Branch, on 6 August 2021, during which she was quizzed about the nature of her relationship with the accused, and Armspine, the company previously owned by Raj Kundra.
They even asked about how many videos I shot with them and who all were a part of the content production”, she claimed upon emerging from the police station after almost 8 hours of questioning.
Earlier on 5 August 2021, Saurabh Kushwaha was questioned by Crime Branch officials for his involvement in the porn production and distribution racket. He is presently the director of Armsprime Media Private Limited.

Raj Kundra husband of bolywood actress Shilpa Shetty case has unravelled many strings of porn industry which was running in India in the guise of adult content on various OTT platforms. However, the series of incidents came into light after the arrest of Gehna Vashisth a small time actress associated with him in Feb this year.
