Entertainment Desk – The Ullu app’s show House Arrest, hosted by Ajaz Khan, has stirred major controversy online after a recent episode left many viewers shocked and angry. The show is now trending for all the wrong reasons, with social media users demanding an immediate ban.
House Arrest is a show based on the concept of captivity, but its latest episode took things too far for many. In one scene, Ajaz Khan asked a female contestant questions about sexual activities. When she said she didn’t know about certain sex positions, he told two other contestants to act them out on camera. The entire scene had suggestive dialogues and actions that made viewers very uncomfortable.
In another viral clip from the same episode, some female contestants were asked to remove their undergarments while still wearing clothes, and this was all shown on camera. These scenes caused an uproar online, with many calling the show “vulgar” and “disgusting.”
People on Twitter (now called X) directly addressed the Information and Broadcasting Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw. One user wrote, “Dear @AshwiniVaishnaw sir & @MIB_India. Show: HOUSE ARREST. OTT: ULLU. This show is not only disgusting but beyond the definition of vulgar. The host Ajaz Khan is crossing boundaries. It’s a cheapest copy of Bigg Boss.”
Another person compared it to past controversies, saying, “Whatever happened on Samay Raina’s show wasn’t as ugly as what’s openly showing Ajaz Khan… they are corrupting young minds.”
So far, neither Ullu nor Ajaz Khan has spoken about the controversy. But the pressure on the authorities to take action is growing every day.
