NationalMangaluru: ADGP R Hitendra Promises Swift Justice in Suhas Shetty Murder Case

Date:

News Desk – Following the shocking murder of rowdy-sheeter Suhas Shetty on May 1 in Bajpe, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) R Hitendra visited Mangaluru to personally review the case and ensure strong law enforcement action.

Speaking to the media, ADGP Hitendra confirmed that police have gathered important clues about the suspects. He assured the public, “Stringent action will be taken. The culprits will be arrested soon.”

To maintain law and order in the area, a massive security arrangement has been put in place. This includes the deployment of 22 KSRP platoons, around 1,000 police personnel, and five officers of SP rank to prevent any further disturbances.

Suhas Shetty, known to be a history-sheeter and the main accused in a murder case three years ago, was attacked by a group of 5–6 individuals. The attackers stopped his vehicle near Kinnipadavu Cross using a goods carrier and a car. They then brutally assaulted him with machetes and other sharp weapons. Shetty was immediately taken to a private hospital in Mangaluru but could not survive the injuries.

The case has stirred public concern, and with top police officials now involved, swift justice is expected.
