On Thursday, Bombay High court gave order on web series, and rejects the CBI plea to pass a stay order on the release. The documentary series on Indrani Mukerjea, who’s going through a trial for allegedly killing her daughter Sheena Bora, was launched on the OTT platform Webflix after the Bombay High Court rejected a CBI’s petition towards its streaming on Thursday.

Story of Indrani Mukerjea Series

The docu-series, titled ‘The Indrani Mukerjea Story: The Buried Truth’, delves into the disappearance of 25-year-old Bora and becomes in the beginning scheduled to be most fulfilling on Webflix on February 23. 

After the CBI moved the courtroom, pronouncing that the documentary would possibly affect the judicial way, the High Court asked the makers of the documentary to save release. Sheena Bora Murder Case

Sheena Bora was allegedly strangled to loss of life in a vehicle by way of Indrani, her then-driving force Shyamvar Rai, and former husband Sanjeev Khanna in April 2012. Bora was Indrani’s daughter from her previous date. Her body was burnt in a forest in the neighboring Raigad district.

The murder came to mild in 2015 after Rai discovered the killing following his arrest in another case. In August 2015, Indrani was arrested by Police and get bail for it in May 2022. The someone other are also involve in that case, Peter Mukerjea and Rai, Khanna who was out on bail.

The CBI claimed that the documentary might also create a public belief that could, in turn, affect the judicial mind. However, the courtroom noted that it too had watched the series and had, in fact, a concept that the CBI might no longer press its name for towards the series.

Conclusion 

The Bombay High Court has asked Webflix to stop screening the web series on Indrani Mukerjea, a top accused in the Sheena Bora homicide case. The series was scheduled for release on February 23, and the courtroom has asked it to be stopped.
