Congress chief Vikramaditya Singh, who stepped down as a Himachal Pradesh minister and spoke about being discontent with the party, went to Chandigarh and met the 6 rising MLAs who have been disqualified for go-voting in favor of the BJP in the Rajya Sabha election as per sources. One of the MLAs he met is the Congress Disqualified MLA.

The MLAs whose go-voting brought on the shock defeat of Congress candidate Abhishek Manu Singhvi have been disqualified on Thursday. They now plan to move to the High Court to check their disqualification.

This came whilst Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has controlled to keep the crisis in the country at bay for now, even as state Congress chief and Vikramaditya Singh’s mother, Pratibha Singh, according to sources in a distinctive interview that it is “too early” to say the political situation is over.

In a different interview with reports on Thursday (February 29), Himachal Pradesh Congress Chief Pratibha Singh said there had been “sure issues which couldn’t be decided” amid the disaster. Congress chief Vikramaditya Singh stepped down as Himachal Pradesh minister and presented his resignation, alleging he was being “sidelined” and “humiliated” in his party. There had been rumors that he could join the BJP. However, he later said he wouldn’t press his resignation till a communication with his leaders was completed.

According to assets, former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh was tasked via the BJP to “look over” the complete crisis in Himachal Pradesh because of his close relationship with them. Rajinder Rana, one of the six disqualified Congress MLAs, informed reports on Thursday that they would move the Supreme Court in opposition to their disqualification. The speaker of HP Assembly Kuldeep Singh Pathania disqualified them. 

Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday, Congress and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said that Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu took duty for their candidate Abhishek Manu Singhvi’s loss in the Rajya Sabha election.


The “political controversy” in the Congress authorities in Himachal Pradesh appears yet to be over as Cabinet minister Vikramaditya Singh, who too raised a “banner of rise up” against Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, on Friday reached Delhi after meeting rebellion MLAs in Chandigarh.
