Job seekers usually use job portals to find a suitable job that matches their career requirements. However, things can go out of hand if you apply for 10-15 jobs a day and attend calls from companies that don’t match your job requirements. It means you are not doing the right way and your desperate search to land your dream job is just pushing the wrong buttons. See you need to understand that the job market is dynamic and keeps changing on a regular basis. You cannot just click on one job, apply for it and get your offer letter the next day – this happens only in movies wherein the superhero gets what he wants.

But in reality, heroes and heroines have a struggle period that they need to go through compulsorily to get their hands on actually what they want in life. So, if you want that dream job interview of yours, you need to make a proper plan that is quite realistic and achievable. Please, please, please do not call the prospective employers on their landline numbers and make cold calls for a job opening because it creates a really bad impression about your abilities. We don’t have to beg for a job but we have to create a strategy that will attract recruiters to your work profile or CV. And that is possible with some smart tips.

Update your CV with all the latest achievements and work that you have done in your previous job. Even if you are a fresher, you can definitely add some volunteering experience that you might have done in your previous project or graduation years. You need to show who you are and what you are capable of, and thus your CV or work profile should speak in itself without you bragging a lot about it. You can get a website in your name and start uploading blogs or articles that are quite useful to freshers or college students. Your experience in life – be it personal or professional is quite unique and thus, you should be able to express it in the form of videos, short writeups, podcasts, etc. and this will reveal your digital marketing skills to your prospective employer.

Use keywords in your job search. Say, for example, you are searching for a marketing job – you need to use keywords like marketing executive, marketing manager, marketing jobs in (city), online marketing, digital marketing, etc. in the search engine and even your job portals. The more specific you use the keywords, the better your chances of grabbing the right job you are looking for. Leverage LinkedIn to the maximum extent possible. Do not write that you are looking for a job on the website, you can simply write about what you learned from a recent book that you read, a recent event that you attended, and what are your thoughts on the Indian economy, the industry you are into and your message to the aspirants through your posts.

Such acts will help you get noticed in front of employers, recruiters, and even professionals who work in the same industry. When you improve your professional image online, your chances of getting a suitable job that matches your requirements increase, thus helping you get what you are seeking in your dream job.
