New Delhi: Giving relief to the parents facing financial crisis during the Corona period, the Delhi government has ordered all private schools to cut the fees charged by 15 percent in the academic year 2020-21. For example, if the school’s monthly fee for the financial year 2020-21 is Rs 3000, the school will charge only Rs 2550 from the parents after deducting 15 per cent.
Schools have been instructed that if the schools have taken more fees from the parents, then the schools will have to refund the fees or adjust the fees further.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has said that during the Corona period, when all the parents are facing financial crisis, a 15 percent reduction in fees will be a big relief for them. The school management will not stop the students from participating in any activities of the school on the ground of non-payment of the outstanding fees due to financial constraints of the parents.
