Patna: The Nitish Kumar government of Bihar has got a big setback. State Social Welfare Minister Madan Sawhney has announced to resign from his post. Sahni has expressed his displeasure with the bureaucracy and has spoken of resigning. Sahni said that when the officers will not listen to me then how will I serve the public. There is no point in being a minister if he cannot do the work of the people.
Sahni has alleged negligence in the transfer posting and said that the officers close to Nitish Kumar have created a lot of wealth. He has also demanded a property investigation of Chanchal Kumar, close to CM Nitish Kumar. He said that when we cannot do good to anyone, then we are not sitting just to take convenience. On the question of resigning from the party, Sahni said that there will be more Chief Minister in the party under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.
Madan Sahni said in a conversation with the media that we are facing dictatorship for years, we are suffering torture but now it is not being tolerated. So now we have made up our mind that we will resign now. He accused Additional Chief Secretary Atul Prasad of arbitrariness and said that Sahni said that no one listens to the ministers in the department. All the rules and regulations are being flouted. Many officers have been frozen in the Social Welfare Department for years and are doing arbitrary work. When asked to remove it, the Additional Chief Secretary of the department refused to listen.
