New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday released new dates for the Class 10 and Class 12 exams which were postponed due to the recent violence in North East Delhi.
A senior board official said, “Class 12 exams in the region will start on March 31 and end on April 14. Class 10 exams will start on March 21 and will end on March 30. ” Earlier, CBSE had postponed the examinations in the area till February 29. However, the exams were held from March 2 on pre-determined dates as board officials believed that due to more delay in the examination, students may have difficulty in getting admission in graduate courses.
The board had said that for students who could not appear in the examinations, the board will conduct the examinations later. In the case, CBSE had asked the principals of schools to submit a list of such students who could not appear in the examinations to be held till March 7.
Explain that schools in North East Delhi were closed due to communal violence. CBSE postponed the 10th and 12th board examinations in North East Delhi and some areas of East Delhi.
