Students wearing hijab (Islamic headscarf) will not be allowed inside classrooms, according to the government girl’s PU college in Udupi.

After meeting with four of the five students who have been boycotting classes in protest of the college authorities’ decision, Udupi MLA and college development authority president K Raghupati Bhat revealed the decision of the authorities on Monday (January 31).
Bhat claims that allowing kids to wear hijab inside classrooms where only uniforms are permitted is impossible. The decision has also been communicated to the girls’ parents. They stated that they will make a decision after conversing with their male family members.
Students would not be allowed to cause any disturbance or confusion on the college campus starting Tuesday, he warned. Representatives of organisations and members of the media will also be denied access to the campus.
The measures were made when the college received concerns from parents of other students as examinations approached, according to Baht.

If kids or their parents have any further complaints, they should contact the district deputy commissioner, according to the MLA, who also stated that only those who obey the rules will be permitted on campus.
