New Delhi: Schools that have been closed for a long time due to Corona virus infection will now be opened. Only the higher classes of schools will be started and that too by following the fixed SOP. For this, the consent of the parents of the students will be required. The Union Health Ministry has issued a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for partially starting classes 9 to 12 in schools. Under Unlock 4, the central government had allowed students from class 9 to class 12 to go to school on a voluntary basis and seek teacher’s advice after written consent of parents. This will be possible from September 21.
Precautions to be taken
- It will be mandatory to wear face mask.
- Must keep a distance of six feet among themselves.
- Hand washing and sanitizer must be used at frequent intervals.
- Mouth and nose have to be covered while eating and learning.
- Spitting is forbidden.
- Self-monitoring of health is necessary and report immediately as soon as there is any defect in health.
These arrangement will have to be ensured for the classes
- Online education will be allowed and will be encouraged.
- The students of class 9 to class 12 will be allowed to go to their school on voluntary basis. Students can go to school to get advice from their teachers but written consent from parents will be mandatory. There is no rush, so students can be given time to come at different times.
