NITI Aayog, a government think tank, has teamed up with BYJU’s, an EdTech start-up, to deliver free educational content to students in 112 aspirational districts. According to an official release, pupils from these areas will get free access to BYJU-developed learning content, including content for competitive examinations.
The collaboration will consist of two main components: BYJU’S Career-Plus programme, which will identify and provide NEET, JEE preparation coaching to 3,000 deserving students in Classes 11 and 12, and a voluntary programme for classes 6-12 students who can opt-in to receive educational content from BYJU’S Learning App for three years, as part of its social impact initiative, Education for Alone.

Students will be chosen for the Career-Plus programme after taking a test. According to BYJU, they will receive tablets/smartphones and learning content, assistance, and coaching. Technology has played an essential role in ensuring consistency, and many classes have switched to an “online” model.
This has accelerated the creation of educational innovations in many respects, and we must rethink education and stay up with these advancements. “With BYJU’S joining us, the children in these aspirational areas would have the chance to attend quality education,” NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant stated.
