KGMU Vice Chancellor tests Covid-19 positive

Lucknow: Vice Chancellor of King George Medical College Lucknow, Lieutenant General Dr. Bipin Puri has also become Corona positive. After the driver and another staff were corona positive, the vice chancellor was subjected to a corona test. In this testing, his report has come positive, after which he has been isolated. There is also news that 40 more doctors of KGMU have turned out to be Corona positive!

Significantly, in the last 24 hours in India, there have been 68,898 new cases of corona virus infection and with this the number of patients has reached 2,905,823 till Friday. During this period, the total number of deaths has reached 54,849 with 983 new deaths. The Health Ministry gave this information on Friday.

In the last 24 hours, 62,282 patients have recovered from the epidemic and with this, the number of people who have recovered so far has reached 21,58,946, which brings the recovery rate to about 74.30 percent. The number of active cases in the country at present is 6,92,028.

The Health Ministry has also informed that the epidemic death rate in the country has now come down to 1.89 percent. A maximum of 8,05,985 samples were tested on Thursday. India is at number three in the list of countries most affected by the corona virus.
