India records 704 positive cases of COVID-19 in past 24 hrs

New Delhi: India recorded the highest number of 704 positive cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, said the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday.

With these new cases, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in India have now climbed to 4,281.

Total deaths stand at 111 including 28 new deaths. So far, 318 COVID-19 patients have been cured across the country.

At the same time, after the arrival of 57 new cases of corona virus in Mumbai on Monday, the total number of covid-19 infected people in the city has increased to 490. The local body gave this information. On Monday itself, four people undergoing treatment for the corona virus died. With the death of these four people, the death toll from this infection so far in the state reached 34.

With the arrival of 120 new cases of covid-19 in Maharashtra, 868 people have been confirmed to be infected with the corona virus till Monday. Seven more deaths due to corona virus infection in Maharashtra, taking the total to 52.

“Of the 120 people, 68 are from Mumbai city while 41 are from Pune,” said a health department official. He said that in other cases three from Aurangabad, two each from Vasai-Virar, Satara and Ahmednagar. One case each has come from Jalna and Nashik.

The Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Office said the Maharashtra government has established 4653 relief camps, providing shelter to 4,54,142 migrant laborers and providing food to 5,53,025 migrant laborers and homeless people across the state.
