Meerut: The number of new cases of corona in Meerut has doubled compared to the last two days. In the 1596 samples tested today, 37 reports came out positive while one corona victim also died.
According to the report of the Health Department, the total number of infected coronas in Meerut has now been 1774, out of which 392 active cases are present whereas 1299 patients have been sent home after recovery.
After the death of another corona victim in the city today, this figure is now 83. A 75-year-old man from Harijan Mohalla Ward-8 Kithore succumbed at MSY Medical College Covid Hospital.
