Domestic flights fare fixed for three months

New Delhi: Domestic flights are being started after two months from 25 May i.e. the coming Monday. However, not much will happen during this time. After issuing the necessary guidelines and SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for domestic flights, now three months minimum and maximum fares have been fixed for domestic flights.

Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said on Thursday that the three-month minimum and maximum fare for domestic flight services has been set, which will start from May 25.

Puri said during the press conference, we have set a minimum and maximum fare. In case of Delhi, Mumbai, the minimum fare for a journey between 90-120 minutes will be Rs 3500, the maximum fare will be Rs 10,000. It will operate for about 3 months until one minute before midnight on August 24.

He said that 40% of the seats are to be sold for less than the midpoint of the band. For example the midpoint of Rs 3500 and Rs 10,000 is Rs 6700. Therefore, 40% of the seats are to be sold below Rs. 6700. That way we are making sure that the rent is not out of control. He said that the order issued today will remain in force till 23 August at 23:59.

Roots divided into 7 sections

Fourth- Route taking 90 to 120 minutes
