New Delhi: In the midst of Corona’s crisis, private sector HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank have changed their working hours till 31 March. HDFC Bank has now decided to open branches for only 4 hours. The bank branches will open from 10 am to 2 pm. Explain that this week the branches of both banks will open till Friday and the branches will remain closed due to the fourth Saturday on the 28th. HDFC Bank has banned the updating of passbooks and purchase of foreign currency till 31 March.
ICICI Bank has informed customers through messages that branches will open with necessary hygiene facilities and less staff. Not only this, the contact centers of the bank will also be opened with very less staff. The bank has appealed to the customers to use mobile and internet banking so that branches are not crowded for essential services. HDFC Bank has appealed to customers to drop the check in the drop box itself to avoid congestion at branches.
However, through online banking, the passbook can be updated and the forex card can be reloaded. Apart from this, utility bills etc. can be submitted through UPI and PayZapp platforms. It is worth noting that till March 31, banks will have only very important functions like basic payment, amount transfer, check clearance, deposit, cash withdrawal.
