Directed by P Vasu, Chandramukhi 2, a Tamil language psychological, horror movie hit the theatres recently. The film has been doing well at the Indian box office. As per reports, the film has earned Rs 17 crores nett within three days of its release. The film was also released in Hindi and Telugu languages.

As per early estimates, Chandramukhi 2 made ₹5 crore nett in India on its third day for all languages. On day one, the film earned ₹8.25 crore [Tamil: ₹5.58 crore; Telugu: ₹2.5 crore; ₹Hindi: ₹17 lakh] and on day two it minted ₹4.35 crore [Tamil: ₹3.4 crore; Telugu: ₹85 lakh; Hindi: 10 lakh].
Thus, the film has earned ₹17.6 crore nett in all languages.

Chandramukhi 2 has made Rs 40 crore approximately all over the world in three days, responded Kangana while talking to a journalist. She also shut down trolls and nasty comments who were asking about the box office collections on social media platforms.
Chandramukhi 2 features Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence in the main roles. It is the second part of the blockbuster film Chandramukhi Part 1 which featured Jyothika and Rajinikanth in main roles.
Earlier, the film was supposed to release on 15 September but it was postponed to 28 September 2023 due to technical delays. In the trailer of Chandramukhi 2, it can be seen that the family moves into a mansion, where they are asked to avoid the south block, which is called the residence of Chandramukhi.
Kangana plays the part of a dancer in the King’s court who is known for her dance abilities and beautiful looks. Raghava Lawrence is playing the role of King Vettaiyan Raja. The film can notice Raghava in dual roles.
Prior to the movie’s release in theatres, Raghava Lawrence visited the residence of Rajinikanth and also shared a video of the meeting on X, which was earlier known as Twitter.
In the video, we can see Raghava touching the feet of Rajinikanth in order to take his blessings. Raghava also congratulated Rajinikanth for the success of his latest blockbuster movie Jailer.
Raghava wrote on X, “Hi friends and fans. Today I met my Thalaivar and guru @rajinikanth to wish him for Jailer’s blockbuster success and got blessings for Chandramukhi 2 release on September 28. I’m so happy. Thalaivar is always great. Guruve Saranam (Teacher is everything).”
Overall, the movie Chandramukhi 2 was released with favorable reviews. Even Rajinikanth penned a sweet note for the film on social media, he wrote in Tamil which is translated here: “I heartily congratulate Shri. P. Vasu, who took his massively successful film in a completely new direction, giving cinephiles a beautiful entertainer, and my brother Raghava Lawrence who has acted wonderfully, as well as the entire cast and crew of the film”.
Chandramukhi Part 1 was inspired by the Malayalam movie Manichitrathazhu (1993) and was the official remake of the Kannada film Apthamitra (2004). Chandramukhi was produced by Prabhu who also played an important role in the film and his brother Ramkumar Ganesan through their company Sivaji Productions and it was the company’s 50th film.
