The first trailer of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie Mission Raniganj has been released on YouTube. You can check the link here. The upcoming thriller film shows Sardarji Akshay Kumar in a race against time to rescue miners. The film narrates the story of a man who wants to save the lives of helpless miners who are stuck in a coal mine. The film will also feature Parineeti Chopra playing the role of Akshay’s wife.
You might have seen the Bhangra video of Akshay and Parineeti in Jalsa 2.0 that was released recently. In the latest trailer released by the makers, a terrible accident takes place because of the collapse of a mine on a large group of miners who are working underground. The trailer shows the plight of workers who are screaming, pleading to save their lives. Whereas, over the ground, Akshay Kumar’s character is set to launch a rescue mission as plays the part of a Sikh engineer in the film who will do anything to save the lives of the affected men.
Mission Raniganj is based on the real-life story of the late Jaswant Singh Gill, who guided India’s first successful coal mine rescue mission. The film is all set to hit the theatres on 6 October 2023.

When Jalsa 2.0 was released, people praised the song and lyrics along with the dance performances. Akshay and Parineeti were dressed in Punjabi attire and performed Bhangra on interesting desi beats.
Mission Raniganj is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Ajay Kapoor. Akshay had earlier worked with Desai for the crime thriller Rustom.
The film will be released on the same day as Bhumi Pednekar’s next Thank You for Coming, which is directed by Karan Boolani and also features Shehnaaz Gill.
Akshay will also be noticed in the Hindi remake of the Tamil drama Soorarai Pottru which will be released in theatres on February 16, 2024. He also has an action thriller film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan alongside Tiger Shroff and a comedy film Housefull 5 in his upcoming projects.
Meanwhile, Akshay shared a birthday wish for his daughter Nitara who turned 11 today. The actor is a doting father to his children and it was reflected when he shared a short video on social media to wish Nitara. The video saw the father-daughter duo walking inside a water body. Akshay can be noticed in his casual wear while his daughter Nitara looks cute as a button in a swimming costume.
Sharing the video, Akshay Kumar wrote, “I’ve never understood why daughters grow up so fast. My little baby who used to hold my hand to take baby steps will soon be a young lady, with the whole world to conquer. I am incredibly proud of you and your creative mind, Nitara. Other kids want to visit Disneyland, you want to create one. Spread your wings, sunshine… I and your mother will always try to be the wind beneath them. Happy Birthday my princess.”
