On Wednesday, Om Prakash Rajbhar, an OBC leader, claimed that one to two ministers would quit from Yogi Adityanath’s cabinet every day, bringing the total to 18 by January 20. He stated this after the resignation of Uttar Pradesh ministers Swami Prasad Maurya and Dara Singh Chauhan.

The chairperson of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party also stated, “I realised the BJP’s apathy towards Dalits, backwards, and disadvantaged sectors of society in a short period after joining the government in 2017, but these people waited all these days and, with no hope, are resigning now.”
For the 2022 assembly elections, Rajbhar has teamed up with the Samajwadi Party. After the resignations of Forest and Environment Minister Dara Singh Chauhan on Wednesday and Maurya a day ago.
In the recent state assembly elections, Rajbhar was a member of the BJP’s alliance, and his party won four seats. Rajbhar was elected to the Yogi Adityanath government as a minister from Zahoorabad in Ghazipur district. He resigned from the Cabinet and cut connections with the saffron party in 2019.
