New Delhi: In view of the corona virus epidemic, the Delhi government has announced a lockdown in all 7 districts. There will be a lockdown from 6 am on Monday 31 March till midnight. During this time all markets, business establishments, shops, public transport will all be closed. Delhi’s border with neighboring states will remain sealed. However, essential services will be restored. The lockdown was announced by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at the press conference. LG’s Anil Baijal was also present with him.

 Arvind Kejriwal said, ‘Currently there are 27 cases of corona virus in Delhi. 6 of these cases are transmissions i.e. these are cases that are mounted from one to the other. There are 21 cases that came from outside, ie from abroad. It says that it is not yet spread in Delhi, there are only 6 cases of transmission. ‘

During this time no public transport service will be allowed. Private buses, taxis, auto rickshaws, rickshaws, e-rickshaws will all be closed.

25 percent of the DTC buses will ply and so that people providing essential facilities can go to their destination.

All the shops, markets, business establishments, factories, workshops, offices, godowns, weekly markets of Delhi will be closed.

The borders of all the states adjoining Delhi will be sealed. Supply of essential commodities like milk, vegetables, food and drink will be allowed.
