Ahmedabad: A baby found buried alive at a farmhouse in Gambhoi village of Gujarat’s Sabarkantha area shocked the administration, sources said on Thursday. The police launched an investigation into the case.  A farmer noticed the baby when he went to his field in the morning. As soon as he saw a small arm out of the mud, he dug the area with the help of others and found the baby breathing. Immediately after that, he sent the baby to Himatnagar civil hospital.

Once the parents of the baby are identified, an official complaint will be lodged, the police said. The farmer who rescued the baby said that when he was inspecting his farm, he saw one of the arms of the baby and rescued it with the help of some people.
