S Karuna Raju, the state chief electoral officer (CEO), announced on Monday that surveillance teams seized 27.86 lakh litres of liquor worth Rs 14.75 crore and psychotropic drugs worth Rs 275.59 crore.

“At least 1,203 “vulnerable” villages and 2,903 individuals have been identified as potential troublemakers.” A total of 1,949 people have already been subjected to preventative intervention. According to the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), 799 people have been brought into custody for security reasons,” he added.

He said that 2,676 non-bailable warrants have been executed, with action in 39 cases still pending.

“In addition, 15,722 nakas have been established around the state.” “According to the ECI’s directives, 3.76 lakh licenced firearms out of a total of 3.9 lakh have been deposited, while 69 unauthorised weapons have been seized,” the CEO stated.

Exit polls are also prohibited between February 10 and March 7 for the forthcoming assembly elections, according to the ECI.
