Bhupesh Baghel, a Congress leader and the chief minister of Chhattisgarh, for attacking the BJP-led NDA administration at the federal level over inflation.
Baghel, who spoke at a joint press conference with Punjab Congress head Navjot Sidhu, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government at the Centre have failed to keep inflation under control. “Rising petrol, diesel, and gas cylinder prices have made it difficult for citizens to manage their household expenses,” he stated, citing the prices of petrol, diesel, LPG cylinders, pulses, and edible oil.

Despite the fact that crude oil prices soared in international markets during Dr Manmohan Singh’s tenure as Prime Minister, the cost of petrol and diesel did not rise, according to the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister. He also accused the central government of obstructing Chhattisgarh’s efforts to provide benefits to farmers. He stated the congress party always stood with the farmers when they were protesting for the three black laws.
Sidhu discussed the ‘Punjab Model,’ which outlines a comprehensive plan to provide eight million job opportunities for the state’s youth and support five million enterprises. “From 2015 to 2020, (AAP leader and Delhi chief minister) Arvind Kejriwal promised eight lakh jobs in Delhi, but he could only deliver 440,” he claimed.
