KKRiders register their first victory, Shubhman palying winning knock

In the Indian Premier League -2020, Kolkata Knight Riders beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets to register their first win in the tournament. Shubman Gill was the hero of victory.

In the match, Hyderabad won the toss and scored 142 runs in 20 overs losing 4 wickets. Chasing the target, KKR opened their account this season with a win losing just 3 wickets in 18 overs.

Hyderabad got their first blow as opener Johnny Bairstow (5) for 24 runs. After this David Warner took the front, but captain Warner could not make more than 36 runs in 30 balls.

This was followed by a 62-run partnership for the third wicket between Manish Pandey-Wriddhiman Saha, who took over the team. Manish Pandey hit the 16th half-century of his IPL career. Manish Pandey was 51 out of 38 balls, while Saha collected 30 runs. Pat Cummins, Kuldeep Yadav and Andre Russell got 1-1 success from the opposition team.

Chasing the target, KKR got the first blow as Sunil Naren (0). After this, Nitish Rana (26) and captain Dinesh Karthik also started walking. KKR had lost their 3 wickets for 53 runs.

From here, young batsman Shubhaman Gill formed an unbreakable partnership with Eoin Morgan. Shubman Gill scored an unbeaten 70 from 62 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes, while Eoin Morgan scored 42 runs with the help of 5 boundaries in 29 balls to give the team the victory with 12 balls remaining. For Hyderabad, Khalil Ahmed, T Natarajan and Rashid Khan got 1-1 success.
