Let us face the uncertainty that life is and will be offering to us

It is a very different world that we are living in today from how it was earlier. Today I had to courier a set of assignments for a Master’s course that I am currently doing. And when I stepped out of home, all I could find is medical shops only opened in all the lanes that led me to the courier office.

Like in our area, we have fixed morning hours only for grocery, milk, and essential shops to remain opened and medical stores can be there 24/7. That’s why I found all the streets empty with just a few people walking on the road to reach a particular place for their work or personal purpose.

The world is rapidly changing. I remember visiting temples and buying vegetables from the nearby market area in the first week of April 2021 and now all I can find is empty roads and not many people traveling via bikes, cars, rickshaws than how it was earlier. In a month’s time, everything has changed so much due to the changing restrictions of the coronavirus lockdown since the last year.

It is difficult to handle such uncertain times with a sane frame of mind. Although we read positive articles and even watch feel-good movies, the disturbing news about the rising number of deaths due to coronavirus and the new diseases of black fungus and white fungus are making the world a more terrible place to live in.

When I sit and think of all these negative things, all I can find certain in these uncertain times is honestly NOTHING. Today we have rains and tomorrow there is sunshine throughout the day. Today we have lowered the number of coronavirus cases and tomorrow is don’t know what new virus or fungus that is attacking people and creating trauma in their lives. I end this article with the saying, “Leave everything undefined, including yourself. Befriend uncertainty. Fall in love with mystery. Kneel at the altar of Not Knowing. Give your questions time to breathe. And the answers will find you.” — Jeff Foster
