New Delhi: The government has extended the last date for filing income tax to 30 September. The government has taken this decision due to increasing Corona infection cases. Tax experts say that due to Corona, the deadline of many tax dates related to companies and general taxpayers has been extended.

Know which last date related to income tax is extended

(1) The last date for filing income tax return for assessment year 2021-22 (financial year) has been increased from 31 July 2021 to 30 September 2021.

(2) The last date of income tax audit has been increased from 31 October 2021 to 30 November 2021. At the same time, the last date for finalizing the tax audit report has been increased from 30 September to 31 October.

(3) Deadline for filing Bilated / Revised Income Tax Return (ITR) has been increased. This has been increased from 31 December 2021 to 31 January 2021. Tax experts state that a bilated return is filed after the original deadline for filing the Income Tax Return (ITR) for a financial year is over.

(4) The last date for issuance of Form 16 has been extended from 15 June 2021 to 15 July 2021. Let me tell you that Form 16 helps in filing income tax returns. Also, it is used as proof of income.
