Overseas travel won’t be recommended despite vaccination

As per the World Health Organization, vaccines are doing a great job in curbing the spread of the coronavirus disease and can keep people safe from the virus’s further complications. However, the coronavirus pandemic is still considered to be fragile and hence, overseas travel is not recommended during such a gloomy period.

The WHO’s official warned that the current situation that we are into is of a continued threat and new uncertainty, which is why we need to be extremely careful and follow precautionary measures even if we have taken both doses of vaccination. If one is planning for international travel, he should rethink or drop the plan completely for his and others’ safety.

The coronavirus has new strains that are catching people and spreading the disease quite quickly than the earlier strains. Although the official of WHO agreed that the vaccines that have been authorized by the WHO is quite effective even against the new strain. But still, caution has to be exercised.

Right now, a lot of research work is going on the new virus strains which are spreading rapidly and even have the potential to change their behavior in the coming months. Thus, further lockdowns may be quite important to prevent the spread of the new strain affecting people. Vaccines are essential but one cannot risk themselves by traveling to foreign countries just on the basis of vaccination against the coronavirus disease.

Thus, we can cancel our immediate or upcoming foreign trips for personal or work purposes. Nowadays, technology is quite advanced and one can even connect on Zoom or Google Duo to stay connected and carry on with their work. As much as the economy is important to reopen, that much is humanity is important to sustain the economy. So, stay at home and be safe, and avoid unnecessary travel as much as possible.
