Noida (UP): The police arrested a criminal near Parthala Pushta road in the Noida area of Uttar Pradesh after a clash on Thursday night, official sources said on Friday. The felon Yogesh sustained injuries during the clash and the police recovered a stolen motorcycle, a .315-bore country-made gun, a live cartridge and a hollow cartridge from his possession.
Immediately after arresting the criminal, the police sent him to a hospital.
The police further said that Yogesh, a resident of Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh had given the police the slip during and encounter on April 3 this year, but his cohorts Abid and Munesh were taken into custody. The police have been searching for Yogesh since the day of the encounter.
As many as 16 cases of burglary, loot, attempt-to-murder and extortion in NCR have been registered against the criminal.
