What Causes Infertility in 20’S?

In simple terms, infertility is defined as the inability to conceive. Endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and thyroid are the prominent reasons causing infertility in women, while low sperm count or imbalance in testosterone levels can cause infertility in men.

With the growing age, the fertility chances decrease. After the age of 35, couples frequently face infertility issues. Couples in their twenties, on the other hand, have been having fertility issues as a result of changing lifestyles and extended work hours, needing consultation with an infertility specialist.

Reasons of Infertility

Because ‘Peak Fertility’ normally doesn’t happen until a woman is in her early 30s, it doesn’t explain why women in their 20s have trouble conceiving. There can be many reasons that causes infertility in couples in their early stage like 20’s including, ovarian dysfunction,  tubal illness, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and malefactors such as low sperm counts or poor motility and much more.

Dysfunctional ovaries

This illness causes a woman to either not ovulate properly (release an egg) every month or not ovulate at all (ovulation). Ovulation difficulties are the most common cause of female infertility, and they are frequently treated with drugs and medication.

Male Factors

Malefactors may account for a third of all reproductive issues, since low sperm count or quality, a lack of sperm production, testicular abnormalities, and trouble reaching climax are all male-driven causes of infertility.

Past illnesses, infections, physical trauma, ageing, genetic disorders, hormone problems, varicoceles, and lifestyle choices including smoking and exposure to heat or chemicals are some of the underlying reasons.
