Fashion Tips: We’ve all grabbed the “ideal dress” off the rack, tried it on, and been disappointed, and it would be a lie to pretend that it hasn’t occurred to the majority of us. It’s no secret that clothing for our body type is extremely important because an outfit that fits us like a glove instantly helps us feel more at ease and confident.

Flaunting your fantasy dress becomes a reality when you are fully aware of your body type. A modern yet comfy outfit that fits our body type goes a long way toward making us feel our most confident, bold, and stylish.

So, where do you begin in your search for the ideal outfit for your body type? Here are some fashion tips that will help you to find your body type dresses. 

The Shape – Stand in front of a large mirror and determine whether you are curvy with a distinct waist (apple-shaped), if you have a straighter build (rectangle), if your hips are wider than your shoulders (pear-shaped), or if your hips and shoulders are reasonably balanced (hourglass). Knowing this will aid you in progressing to the next phase, which is learning how to dress for your body type.

The Fabric – Fabric selection is just as crucial as the outfit itself when it comes to body types. Fabrics have the ability to pull or redirect attention away from specific body regions. Cotton is preferable to wool and heavy sweaters, which can make a pear-shaped figure’s upper body appear bulky. Spandex and leather are excellent for displaying hourglass curves. Satin and silk skim the rectangular body, whereas glossy and clingy fabrics lack the substantial stretch that apple-shaped bodies require.

The Patterns – Patterns and prints can destabilise an ensemble. Bold prints look well on the upper half of a pear-shaped body, but busier patterns should be avoided on the bottom half of an hourglass body. Subdued-colour prints and patterns are ideal for apple body types, while bright-colored prints are required to give the rectangle shape a curvier appearance.

Colours – Colours have a noticeable widening or slimming effect. Apple forms can use darker colours on the bottom to thin down the curves and brighter colours on top to brighten them up. Choose deeper hues for the back, hips, and thighs if you have a pear-shaped body type. Light shades on the bottom half of the body should be avoided by hourglass women because they can make them appear larger.

The Accessories Select accessories to highlight your best traits. Scarves draw attention to the neckline. Heels are great for pear-shaped women because they lengthen the legs. Low-slung belts offer needed mass and bulk to rectangle-shaped bodies, and tie-in tops are a favourite of hourglass-figured girls.
