Leopard injures 7-year-old boy in Amroha district of UP

Amroha: A leopard pounced upon a seven-year-old boy in Jujhaila village under Hasanpur police station of Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district and severely injured him, official sources said on Monday. As the boy screamed, a few villagers, working in nearby fields, dashed the spot. Then the leopard that was trying to drag the boy into the forest ran away leaving the boy who sustained injuries in the neck and head.

The boy was rushed to a private hospital where the doctors said his condition was stable. According to an official of the forest department Vinod Kumar, they have laid snares to catch the leopard. The incident has caused panic among villagers.
