Gonda: A woman threw her infant girl in front of a moving tractor-trolley in Lale Mau village under Colonelganj police station of Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda district on Monday. No sooner had the driver of the tractor-trolley seen the baby than he stopped the vehicle to save her, officials said, adding that the baby was unscathed.
The woman said that she had done so to stop the tractor-trolley which was used to plough a piece of land belonging to her family. A dispute over a land is going on between two brothers. And when one of them tried to plough the land, claiming that it was his, the wife of another brother threw her infant daughter before the tractor-trolley to stop it, the police said.

The incident came to light when a resident of the village made a video clipping of the incident and made it viral on social media. The police said that they were probing it.
