New Delhi: ACP Anil Kohli, who was found corona positive in Ludhiana, Punjab, died on Saturday, which has been confirmed by the civil surgeon. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Anil Kohli was found to be Corona positive on 13 April. He breathed his last at SPS Hospital in Ludhiana on Saturday. It is being told that ACP Kohli was on ventilator for the last several days.
While giving the information, the Public Relations Office of Ludhiana district said, ‘Anil Kohli, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Ludhiana died due to corona virus. He was admitted here at SPS Hospital, where he was undergoing treatment.
The Punjab government had decided to get ‘plasma therapy’ done by ACP Anil Kohli of Corona virus positive Ludhiana. This information was given by the Chief Minister Captain Amarendra Singh after a video conference called to review the condition of corona virus in the state. He said that the family of Punjab Police’s ACP had also allowed this therapy. ACP was to be treated in the hospital in Ludhiana by this method after Sarkad’s decision to do ‘plasma treatment’ for Covid-19 patients.
The therapy was being managed by Dr. KK Talwad, health advisor to the state government and former director of PGI. At the behest of Dr. Talwad, Dr. Neelam Marwaha, former head of the blood transfusion department of PGI, had agreed to lead in efforts for plasma therapy.
