New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry said that the number of people who died in the country due to Covid-19 on Thursday increased to 686 and cases of infection reached 21700. The ministry further stated that 16689 patients of Covid-19 are under treatment, 4324 people have been discharged from hospital after being cured and one patient moved to another country. Out of the total cases of infection, 77 people are foreigners. A total of 34 people have died since Wednesday evening.
The number of corona virus cases in Uttar Pradesh has crossed 1500. Principal Secretary of Health Department Amit Mohan Prasad informed on Thursday (April 21) that there have been 1507 cases of corona virus in the state. There are currently 1299 cases active in UP. 187 people have been sent home after successful treatment while 21 people infected with Kovid-19 have died.
With 4 new cases of corona virus infection in Bihar on Thursday (23 April), the number of Covid-19 infected in the state has increased to 147. Health Department Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar said that a case of Covid-19 has come up in Munger. Earlier yesterday, 17 new cases were confirmed in Bihar.
