Lucknow: The doctors of King George Medical University (KGMU) of Lucknow, capital of Uttar Pradesh, have also started treatment of corona patients through plasma therapy. The 58-year-old corona infected doctor admitted to KGMU has been given plasma therapy. The patient was given 200 ml plasma in the first dose. The donor was a Canadian female doctor, who has returned home after winning the battle with Corona and is perfectly healthy.

Dr. MLB Bhatt, Vice-Chancellor of KGMU, gave information in this regard on Monday. He said that after giving the first dose of plasma, a positive effect is seen in the corona infected doctor. While giving the information in a video message, Dr. MLB Bhatt said, ‘There is a historic moment for King George Medical University Lucknow (KGMU) where we have successfully given the first dose of plasma therapy to a patient of corona virus yesterday. . ‘

VC MLB Bhatt further said that since the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) allowed plasma therapy in the country, KGMU started preparations. He said, ‘We had already taken three corona patients with plasma after getting well. All three were treated at KGMU itself. Let me tell you that in Delhi too, successful results of plasma therapy were found.
