Meerut: Corona continues to wreak havoc in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh, today eight new patients of Covid-19 have been found, while a woman died during treatment. This is the 18th death due to corona in Meerut. The number of patients in the district has increased to 320.
18 deaths in the district so far
Zeeshan Fatima (52), a resident of Rashidnagar in Thana Brahmapuri area, died on Friday. Her corona report came out positive on Saturday. Now her body is being handed over to the family members. Earlier 17 more people have died in Meerut.
16 patients discharge, active cases 188
However, after the discharge of 16 people on Saturday, the number of recovers has increased to 114 while the number of active cases is 188. CMO Dr. Rajkumar said that a 52-year-old woman from Ahmednagar has died. This woman was admitted to the Covid ward of the Medical several days ago after being found Corona positive. CMO says that sanitization work is going on in the area where this woman lived.
CMO Dr. Rajkumar told that in the eight corona positive cases found today, there are 4 men and two women, while an infant and a female child have been found corona infected.
