New Delhi: The number of new cases of corona virus in the country still remains above 60,000. At the same time, in the last 24 hours, more than 16 hundred people have died. According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday morning, 60,753 new cases of corona infection were registered in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 3,85,137 people have died so far.
According to the Ministry of Health, more than 97 thousand patients (97,743) have been cured in the last 24 hours, while so far a total of more than 2 crore 86 lakh (2,86,78,390) have been successful in defeating the deadly virus. There has been a decrease in active cases due to more number of patients recovering than new cases. Active cases in the country are left at 7,60,019.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, more than 19 lakh corona tests have been done in the last 24 hours while till June 18, more than 38 crore samples have been tested. According to the Ministry of Health, 33,00,085 doses of vaccine were given to people in the last 24 hours, while a total of 27,23,88,783 vaccines have been administered so far.
