WhatsApp is, without a doubt, the most widely used communication platform. And, in recent weeks, we’ve seen WhatsApp add one feature after another to keep its users satisfied.
However, its rival app, Telegram, has been updated and here’s how, with new features, it has become a significantly better app than WhatsApp right now.
Language translation
With-app translation was included in the December update, allowing users to transform messages received from a single user or a group. Users will see a translate button for communications delivered in languages other than the device’s default language. You’ll need to go to Settings > Language to enable the feature.

Quick reactions
Telegram has gained a Quick Reactions feature, similar to iMessage and Facebook Messenger, where users can react with various emoticons such as the thumb emoji, heart emoji, party, starstruck, feces, and many others that can be manually specified from the settings.
Spoiler alert
Telegram users may now hide a specific message, which can only be opened if the receiver wishes to see it, by tapping on it. This function isn’t new; it’s been available in iMessage for a long time, but it’s still a welcome addition.

Interactive and exciting emojis
The latest update in Telegram also includes plenty of new animated emojis that will make your chat more interactive and exciting. A burning hot animation, a LOL animation, snowflakes, and a starstruck are all included. It is the coolest addition made in this version.
Themed OR codes
Telegram has a unique feature that allows you to add someone new to your Telegram account by simply scanning a QR code on their device. Users may now customize the barcode with their favorite color or emoji, thanks to the latest update.
