New Delhi: In view of the increasing infection of the corona virus, the Karnataka government has prohibited the offering of prayers for five times in the month of Ramadan. Guidelines have been issued by the government. The state government has banned collective Sehri and Iftar in the crowd. The state’s Minority Welfare Department has also prohibited mosque staff from calling people for prayers.
The state government has said that in view of the infection of corona virus in the country, the central government has already banned the gathering of people at religious places and mass prayers and worship. In this series, the state government is also preventing mass congregation in mosque, iftar, dargah and imam bada in mosque during Ramadan to prevent infection of corona virus.
Apart from this, Azan will also be in a low voice. Loudspeakers have also been banned.
Significantly, 941 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in India in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of infected in the country reached 12,380. According to the Health Ministry data, 414 people have died from the infection so far. However, 1477 people have recovered and returned home. There are currently 10,477 active cases in the country. 76 foreign nationals are also among the infected.
