Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed to strictly implement the lockdown in Agra, Meerut and Kanpur cities, besides giving ration cards to all needy and eligible people. He said that arrangements should be made to provide ration cards to all migrant workers coming to the state in a phased manner. Food grains should be provided to them even if there is no ration card to any needy, including migrant workers. It should be ensured that no one has problems with food or food grains.

The Chief Minister was reviewing the lockdown system at a high-level meeting convened at his government residence here today. He said that monitoring committees have a big role in controlling the corona. Therefore, monitoring committees should be activated for better surveillance at the ward level in all gram panchayats and urban bodies.

The Chief Minister directed to strictly implement the lockdown in Agra, Meerut and Kanpur cities. He said that Quarantine Center and Community Kitchen should be tagged. Private mandis should be established at some places in the interest of farmers. He instructed Principal Secretary Agriculture, Principal Secretary Food and Logistics and Food Commissioner to inspect the mandis and provide the data.

The Chief Minister said that special emphasis should be laid on testing and training for effective control over Covid-19. More and more testing and better training of the medical team helps a lot in preventing infection. Special attention should be paid to training by Health Department and Medical Education Department.
