Two Congress MLAs resign in Gujarat before Rajya Sabha elections

Ahmedabad: Two Congress MLAs have resigned from the party ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections in Gujarat. Elections are to be held on June 19 for 4 Rajya Sabha seats in Gujarat. In such a situation, once again the election of Rajya Sabha seats in Gujarat has become interesting.

Sources are quoting that Akshay Patel, MLA from Karjan seat has resigned. Apart from this, Kaprada MLA Jeetu Chaudhary was also not in contact with the party for a long time. So the party is assuming that they too have resigned.

Sources are quoted as saying that the Congress party is feeling that a third of its MLAs may also resign from the party. A senior Congress leader while talking with the Indian Express said, “I can confirm the resignation of two people.” We are trying to confirm the third. It was expected to happen. This is Gujarat and if BJP can do it in other states then it is their home ground.
